Barton were contracted to provide bulk earth moving to level the site out ready for civil engineers to provide the buildings foundations. The site covers 107,300 m2, and includes a purpose built warehouse with green power initiatives, car parking, road access, vehicle loading and unloading facilities, and Phase 1 of Linear Park for Milton Keynes Park’s Trust, which included a lagoon for local wild life.
Our fleet of EC460 45 tonne 360 degree Volvo Excavators removed the earth, with our mixture of Bell and Volvo 30 tonne dump trucks with balloon tyres to transport it. Barton completed the required ground levelling using GPS guidance and laser levelling technology through Caterpillar D6 Bulldozers.
